As President of Family First Foundation, Lea Ubas has extensive experience in STEAM education and a strong advocate for gender diversity and representation of minorities in the tech industry. In addition to her philanthropic endeavors, she practices what she preaches by expanding her reach, delving into cybersecurity and information assurance. This highlights her unrelenting dedication to remaining at the forefront of emerging technologies and raising awareness about the critical issues of privacy and data protection, especially the digital footprints of our youths. As a parent herself, she knows the challenges that parents are going through and recognizes that in today's digital age, it is more important than ever to educate young people about responsible online behavior and to ensure that they understand the long-term impact of their digital footprint.
Lea Ubas firmly believes in the power of community to uplift the lives of children and drive positive change. She is proactive in establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with prestigious organizations in Greater Los Angeles, including the Clippers, Dodgers, Rams, and UCLA. Through collaboration, she is able to effectively implement the foundation's priorities and execute programs that have a significant impact on the wider community.
Apart from her work with the foundation, Ubas is an active member of the community. She currently serves as Executive Vice President of the Glendale Council PTA and has held several positions within the organization, including VP of Programs and Education, VP of Communications, and President of PTA units at her children's school. Her unwavering commitment to advocating for the welfare and wellness of students and families remains at the core of her work.
When she is not engaged in her philanthropic work or PTA advocacy, she takes pride in her role as a Scout mom, assisting the troop with Boy Scouts Board of Reviews. She's delighted in helping scouts with rank advancements.
