Isaac Jean-Paul is a two-time medalist, elite high jumper, author, and dedicated advocate for inclusion and community empowerment. Competing in the T13 classification for visually impaired athletes, he has earned international recognition for his performance on the world stage and continues to pursue excellence at the highest levels of sport.
Diagnosed with a visual impairment at the age of two, Isaac was raised with a mindset rooted in possibility, resilience, and independence. Those early experiences shaped both his athletic career and his commitment to helping others reach their full potential by creating environments that support growth, confidence, and opportunity.
In addition to his achievements in track and field, Isaac is a published author of multiple children’s books, including Mya’s Marvelous Day at the Games and Mya’s Black Girl Magic, which focus on representation, self-belief, and inclusion. He is also a nationally recognized speaker, delivering impactful talks on mindset, leadership, and the power of intentional environments, highlighted by his TEDx talk, “We Don’t Handicap People. We Handicap Environments.”
As a board member of the Family First Foundation, Isaac is committed to advancing initiatives that strengthen families and create meaningful opportunities for youth. Through his work in sport, storytelling, and community engagement, he continues to inspire the next generation to see beyond limitations and pursue their highest potential.
