Brian Taylor is a Princeton alumnus and former NBA player, being the first African American drafted from an Ivy League school. He has dedicated the past 25 years to professional education and motivational leadership, earning national recognition as a "change agent" for his character development programs and leadership roles in private and public schools.
Brian created an innovative school governance model to serve at-risk communities as a Senior Administrator at View Park Preparatory Accelerated Charter Schools. Under his leadership, the school went from having no ranking to being ranked in the top 10% in California. Brian's most recent tenure was at Harvard-Westlake in Studio City, a premier private school for 5th to 12th grade students preparing for top colleges and universities. As the Director of Diversity, he successfully increased minority enrollment by 20%, effectively changing the culture of inclusion at Harvard-Westlake.
With a proven track record of closing the achievement gap and increasing college enrollment among disadvantaged youth.
