Family First Foundation is a nonprofit organization that has been dedicated to promoting youth development in Los Angeles since its founding in 2000. The organization has a proven track record of success in fostering STEAM education and providing valuable opportunities and resources to underserved young people. Through our programs, we strive to equip the next generation with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the 21st century. With a focus on innovation and acceleration programs for gifted and high-achieving youth, our Tech Hub provides access to cutting-edge technology, enabling students to bring their ideas to life. As of January 13, 2025, the Foundation is assisting over 300 families directly impacted by the devastating Eaton and Pacific Palisades fires. These families—our neighbors and friends—have lost their homes and livelihoods and urgently need housing, medical supplies, baby food, and financial relief to recover and rebuild. In addition to their hardships, they are also facing GoFundMe cloning and other scams.

Resources:

FEMA Disaster Resources may cover:
- Home repairs, temporary housing, or property damage (appliances, furniture, vehicle, etc.)
- Help with child care, medical, lodging, moving, and funeral expenses.
- A one-time payment of $770 through FEMA’s Serious Needs Assistance program to cover expenses for emergency supplies like food, water, diapers, and gas for transportation.
- Assistance for business losses, including property damage and economic losses, may be available through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
